Bars In Caleta de Fuste

Located off the coast of Africa are the Canary Islands. Incorporating seven islands in total, Fuerteventura is the second largest and basks in over three thousand hours of shining sun per year. With stretches of sandy beaches, Fuerteventura is an island to be explored.


Located around the East coast of the island, and simply a 15 minutes drive from the air port, is the holiday resort of Costa Caleta or Caleta de Fuste as it is known. This resort is less busy than the main resort of Corralejo in the North but nevertheless has lots to do.


The resort of Caleta de Fuste has many bars and restaurants as well as a huge beach with lots of water sports.

The harbour has many boat excursions, jet skiing and has its very own ‘Floating Shop’. There is also a weekly market held on a Saturday where many a good deal can be bought!


There are lots of restaurants from which to choose including Chinese, Portuguese, Mexican, Indian and an plenty of traditional tapas bars and steak houses.


Kids are very well catered for in Caleta de Fuste with some of the restaurants such as mastang sallys in nuevo having play parks to keep the children amused when you eat! Mini Golf can be found along with archery, tennis courts and a day spa down by the beach.

The ‘Atlantico Shopping Centre’ is only a ten minute stroll, and here you'll find lots of shops (together with a sizable SPAR supermarket) a cinema, Burger King, McDonalds, bowling alley and a variety of bars and restaurants. Entertainment is also shown here in the busy months with bouncy castles and other amusements for children. The centre also offers its own man made beach which is popular with families and locals.

Costa Caleta is a fantastic resort for both families and couples. The island itself is definitely worth exploring. So take advantage of the all year round climate as there are some fabulous secluded beaches to be found!
