Advocate Flea Control - Why It's Effective Against Fleas and Other Parasites

When your dog has fleas, it can be a major source of health discomforts for both the pet and the owner; flea bites can be annoying for humans but disastrous for dogs, who can't treat these on their own.
These parasites can cause flea allergy dermatitis, blood loss, and have the potential to transmit diseases. Knowing that diseases from these infestations can affect people, parents can be naturally worried.
You need to treat fleas and do it right.
Granted there are routines that promote and maintain pet health, from regular pet grooming and bathing, to scheduled vet check ups, to routine house cleaning and vacuuming, but this list must include medicine for flea control and prevention.
Advocate Flea Treatment is one the most recommended treatments, for very good reasons.

Advocate is topical, it's applied on your dog's skin, as opposed to orally administered solutions, which are taken by mouth. Oral solutions include tablets and chewables - the former to be grinded and mixed with pet food, the latter supposed as tasty as pet food itself (if the dog does eat it, that's well and good).
While some recommend orally administered solutions, many prefer topical solutions. They can't be blamed - no one wants to spend for a treatment mixed into pet food that the pet refuses to eat; by then, force feeding becomes a logical next step.

The problem parasites that Advocate Flea Treatment takes care of

Advocate comes packaged in an easy to use tube that efficiently kills off current parasite infections (such as fleas, heartworm, gastrointestinal worms, ear mites, demodex, and even Sarcoptic Mange), gives continuous protection (lasts up to a whole month), and reliably prevents re-infestation (even when you live in regions where all year long infestation is a threat). Because it kills off flea larvae in your pet’s environment, Advocate curbs the chances of re-infestation and prevents incidents of Flea Allergy Dermatitis.

Advocate's active ingredients Imidacloprid and Moxidectin take care of the parasitic protection your pet needs. Moxidectin, one of the ingredients, is immediately absorbed into the skin and right into the dog's bloodstream. This ingredient protects your pet from heartworm infection if Advocate is used monthly.
The same month-long protection also includes protection from gastrointestinal worms - hookworms and roundworms. Advocate also controls annoying ear mites and prevents the onset of a skin condition known as Demodex.

Contraindications

Advocate is safe enough to use on young pups 7 weeks old.
