Tek Panel Incorporated, American Maker Of Massive Format All-In-One Interactive Display Systems, Is Proud To Announce Their Involvement With The Dubrovnik Virtual Museum In Dubrovnik, Croatia

Tek Panel Inc, American maker of giant format all-in-one interactive display systems, is happy to announce their participation with the Dubrovnik Virtual Museum in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Located in Revelin Fort, visitors may be able to see archived documents, walk thru summer residences and parks, see the Cathedral, flip the old coins of the Dubrovnik Republic and visit Ston and Konavle, all almost on eight Tek Panel 420T PCs.

The virtual museum realistically shows historic material, much of which was previously unknown or routinely unavailable to the general public. This project was realized by Surogat d.o.o. As the postulate writer, developer and producer. The project was also produced by the City of Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik Summer Holiday. The Dubrovnik Virtual Museum is structured as a historical resource for local residents as well as an attraction for tourists to learn more about the history of Dubrovnik as reported prlog.org.

In Dubrovnik you can see a lot of fascinating museums as : Marine Museum,Dubrovnik Aquarium Institute for Marine and Coastal,Cultural and Historical Museum, Ethnographic Museum Rupe, Home of Marin Dri, Ronald Brown Commemorative House, Homeland war Museum, Commemorative Room of Dubrovnik's fallen veterans.

Marine Museum

Located on the first and 2nd floor of Fort St. Ivan. The first floor exhibits a look at the cross development Dubrovnik Maritime and shipping, from the start until the decline of the Dubrovnik Republic. On the second floor there are exhibits that show the re-rise of Dubrovnik Maritime, liners and strength in Dubrovnik until second World War and later . In the museum there is a valuable library with rare books and crucial documents. Winter working time is from 9 AM to four PM, except on Mondays when the museum closed. Summer working time is from 9 AM to six PM, closed on Mondays. Ticket price is 40 KN for adults and 20 KN for youngsters.

Dubrovnik Aquarium, Institute for Marine and Coastal

It is situated also in the Fort St. Ivan as a Marine Museum. Visitors have the opportunity to pause in front of the 31 aquarium pools, in which are the diverse fauna and flora of the Adriatic Sea. You may meet with the earliest inhabitants of Dubrovnik Aquarium, turtle that is here since 1953, the octopus, tooth, gilthead, sea bass, eels, murine, and until recently rare in the Adriatic - "kostorog". You may also see the coral in the form of flower bushes, sea stars, sea urchins, snails, clams, shrimp ... And a special resident - sea horse, which is a trademark of the aquarium.

Cultural and Historical Museum

Found in the Duke's Palace in the street in front of the Palace. The ground floor of the palace is a courtroom, jail, and registries. On the mezzanine is subject collections of Dubrovnik cash, stamps, measures, clocks... Also there are stunning pieces of furniture, uniforms, weapons and portraits.On the first floor, besides the Baroque and Rococo furniture there are paintings by Italian masters. In the southern part is a Duke's bedroom in the style of Rococo. Winter working time is from 9 AM to four PM, each day, and summer working time is from 9 AM to six PM, also each day. Ticket price is forty KN for adults and 20 KN for children.

Ethnographic Museum Rupe

It is located in an old barn from the 16th century. Barn was built by Dubrovnik government where they kept reserves of wheat, barley and millet in fifteen giant wells carved into stone. New permanent collection of the Ethnographic Museum was set up in 1991. In a reconstructed building. Setup displays the normal culture of Dubrovnik area on the first floor, and on the second floor are exposed folks costumes, lace and other textile handcrafts whic are precise for this area. Office hours are from 9 AM to four PM, except Tuesdays when the museum is closed to visitors. Ticket price for adults is forty KN, and for children twenty KN.

Home of Marin Drzic

Trip to this museum will bring you back to the 16th century and show you the life and work of the best Croatian Renaissance playwriter, Marin Dri263;. If you find yourself in this unique place, you'll be surrounded by puppets and posters, and you may use the audio guide, which has the inserted interpretations of Dri263;'s texts. Visitors to this museum doesn't feel just as visitors but as players and creators of the theater. In the summertime the museum is open from 10 AM to 9 PM, in the pre- and post- season from 10 AM to 6 PM, and in winter from 10 AM to four PM. Mondays closed.Ticket price for adults is twenty KN, and for children 10 KN.

Ronald Brown Memorial House

It is open on the first anniversary of the tragic death of the American Ministers of Trade Ronald Brown and his associates. Aircraft accidents occurred during peace mission on the Apr the third 1996. Near Dubrovnik. In his honour, it is opened an enduring exhibition of paintings by the foremost Dubrovnik painters of 20th century : Antun Maslo, Ivano Dulcico and Djuro Pulitika.

Homeland war Museum

It is located on a Srzic ; hill in part of Imperial fortress. This fortress is a symbol of defense of Dubrovnik. The fort is open an exhibition titled "Dubrovnik in the Homeland war in 1991-1995". There are approximately 500 items exhibited. Summer opening hours the museum is form 9 AM to six PM, and in winter museum is opened from 9 AM to four PM. Admission is free for all visitors.

Memorial Room of Dubrovnik's fallen veterans

It is located in the palace Sponza where there are exposed photos of Dubrovnik's defenders, who died in the Homeland war. In winter Palace is opened from 10 AM to three PM, and in the summer from 9 AM to 10 PM. Entry is free.
